CV Professionals linking my latest articles on Helium

on June 12th, 2009 by David

I’m happy to say that CV Professionals is linking from their website (main page even!) to some of my latest Helium articles!
“No matter the reason, when you get your pink slip you need to stay focused on your career plan.”
&
“These 6 situations show you that there are times in your career when it can be [...]

3 stars, and now 4!

on June 12th, 2009 by David

As of the start of June I am now a 3 star writer on Helium.com. That means I’ve written 100 articles that rank in the top 25% of their topics. It was thanks to the big push last month when I almost doubled my total articles written in only one month.
The next goal of 4 [...]

Starting on job search articles

on May 12th, 2009 by David

With all this writing, I’ve started on some resume writing and job search topics as well. I know a lot about the subjects since I write resumes for CV Professionals, and we have been pretty busy these days!
With so many people looking for work these days, I want to help people in general with their [...]

Putting the push on writing Helium articles this month

on May 12th, 2009 by David

I’m getting tired of only having 2 stars on Helium. The only 2 ways to get 3 stars are to write 100+ articles, or to get my rankings over 85%.
This month I’ve written something like 12 articles so far on various topics, and my ranking has gone up! Its not at 85% yet, but its [...]

Like the plants, I enjoy the sun

on March 24th, 2009 by David

It seems I was in a bit of a winter blah mood there. I didn’t realize this until the sun came out last week and the weather started to warm up to the point where its nice to be outside. That got me in the mood to go for walks, get ready for jogging and [...]

Helium’s Empty title bounty

on February 24th, 2009 by David

Yup, the days of bounty hunters are still here.
In addition to the recently introduction of upfront title bonuses based on your writing stars, Helium has started to offer a $1 “bounty” for anyone who writes an article for an empty topic. Yup, be the first one to write and earn more cash.
At first I pooh-poohed [...]

on February 23rd, 2009 by David

Those words come into a writer’s life often it seems. At work lately I’ve had a series of deadlines, and now the Helium end-of-month deadline is looming.
All articles submitted before the 25th of the month count towards the upfront payment, and are calculated based ont he number of writing stars at the end of the [...]

Does increased click throughs mean business?

on February 3rd, 2009 by David

As I posted a few days ago, I’m playing around with GoogeAds both from a showing them on my CV Professionals website, and shoing ads for that website elsewhere.
I’m getting a steady clicks per day, but so far no business. I’ll have to take another look at my website I guess and see if I [...]

I’m slowly learning about Googles ads - from both sides

on January 26th, 2009 by David

Like a lot of people these days, I’ve added Google AdSense to my websites in hopes of generating some extra income to offset monthly expenses. Well, actually since I signed up for AdWords (advertising my stuff on other people’s websites) I hope my costs and earnigns will offset each other.
So far I’m paying a bit [...]

on January 23rd, 2009 by David

If you write for Helium.com, but haven’t checked in for a while you might want to do that now.
